Driven by Quality, Backed by Expertise

MET-DPF was founded with a simple mission: to save UK motorists from the soaring costs of premature DPF replacements. We noticed that too many drivers were being told to buy expensive new filters when a professional, deep clean could completely solve the issue.

By investing in premium diagnostic machinery and cutting-edge refurbishment technology, we’ve built a reputation for doing the job right the first time. We pride ourselves on honesty—if your DPF can't be saved, or if the root cause is a faulty sensor elsewhere in the engine, we will tell you straight away. At MET-DPF, we keep your emissions clean and your repair costs transparent.

Frequently asked questions.

A: Our Mobile Service comes to you and performs an "on-car" chemical clean, which is highly effective for clearing moderate soot blockages and getting vehicles out of limp mode. Our Static Workshop Service involves removing the DPF from the vehicle for an intensive "off-car" flash-clean. This is ideal for heavily blocked filters, vehicles with high mileage, or severe ash buildup that cannot be cleared while attached to the engine.

A: The vast majority of blocked filters can be successfully refurbished. Before we start any work, we run a full back-pressure and diagnostic test. If the internal ceramic core of your DPF is physically cracked or melted, it will need replacing; however, if it is simply choked with soot and ash, our cleaning process will successfully restore it to optimal operating efficiency.

A: A mobile on-car clean typically takes between 1 to 2 hours, including pre- and post-service diagnostics. A full static workshop refurbishment (off-car clean) usually takes between 3 to 5 hours, as it requires removing the unit, undergoing a deep-flush cycle, drying, and testing.

A: A DPF usually blocks up because of an underlying issue, such as short city journeys, a faulty EGR valve, or failing sensors. Our pre-cleaning diagnostic check is designed to identify why your filter blocked in the first place. We don't just clear the filter; we advise you on how to prevent the issue from happening again.
